The Swallow, Centre of Emancipating Education was established in 2002 in The Gambia, West-Africa. The Swallow is a legal association, registered as a local non-profit organisation.The Swallow wants to be a meeting place and a source of inspiration for the renewal of education in The Gambia.
The main activity is a nursery and primary school, where other activities are related to: the integration of health education, youth work on food security & health and research about a different pedagogical approach.

About us

Mozilla Clubs are a global network of community members that share Mozilla’s mission to ensure the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all.
Mozilla club of the Swallow is to foster the learning of ICT in the Swallow Primary School. Thus giving students the opportunity to learn and make good use of the Internet in a responsible way. The club has volunteers from the HackathonGirls to help out in our training sessions. We are passionate about what we do and helping to nurture young people in the tech-world.
